Triggers + Behaviors

To improve the app submission process, we looked at the events and actions that trigger steps in the Developer Journey. We also considered the different types of activities (behaviors) developers might engage in at those steps.

Our goal is not to suggest that the Developer Journey is always linear (though it is for some developers). Nor do we believe that every developer engages in all steps of the Developer Journey (though some do). Likewise we don't believe that every developer engages in all activities at a specific step of the Developer Journey (though some may).

Rather we're interested in the scope and breadth of activities developers engage in throughout their process. We're looking for patterns of activity (behaviors) that we can target with our design.
